最適なエネルギーシステムの実現に向けて、技術開発と社会への知見の提供とを目標としています。 需要側の視点から、環境負荷・セキュリティ・経済性・レジリエンスに対応したエネルギーシステムの開発と社会実装に取り組んでいます。システム工学と電力工学とを基礎としますが、関連する学問分野は、数理計画やゲーム理論を始めとする幅広い領域に渡る、学際的な領域を扱います。 学術的な基礎研究だけでなく、産業界との共同研究や、コンサルティングにも積極的に取り組み、高度な技術・問題解決能力と優れたバランス感覚を持った人材の育成と、研究成果の社会への還元を図ります。
